Great DIY with a template: the popular ice cream invitation cards!

Yayyy! Party time. A children's birthday is always a very special reason for parents to celebrate. But to be honest, often a strenuous one, hehe. Because for many of us the children's birthday party should be individual and personal, but at the same time it shouldn't require too much preparation work in the already turbulent everyday life of parents. If you feel the same way, then today we have an absolutely perfect optical treat for you: Our incredibly popular ice cream invitation cards as a very simple DIY including a great template for the lettering! Our founder Eva has already presented the self-made invitation cards on Instagram and we have already presented them to you in the blog article about our favorite children's DIYs presents. In each case there were many requests for DIY instructions and we are finally fulfilling this wish today. So, let's get the cutest invitation cards far and wide:

Making children's birthday invitations: the materials

You only need a few materials for the great ice cream invitation cards: - craft cardboard in the colors of your choice - black adhesive dots - wooden ice cream sticks (also available in the craft store) - our smart template for the inside (download here) - Scissors, glue, small craft holes (different motifs as desired) And off you go!

Step 1: cut out the template and draw it

First you cut out the first template (twice without text) from our DIY template and use it to draw the ice shape on the cardboard in your desired colors.

Step 2: cut out and fold

Cut out the ice shape (s) from your cardboard and fold them in the middle.

Step 3: decorate

Decorate the colorful ice cream molds according to your taste with adhesive dots and homemade confetti.

Step 4: glue on text pages and stems

Now cut out the individual pages with the invitation text from our DIY template. Then first glue a wooden stick to your already cut out and decorated ice cream shapes and then glue the invitation text template over it.

Step 5: decorate popsicle sticks

For the finishing touch, you can decorate the popsicle sticks with confetti that you punched out yourself.

Step 6: insert party information - done!

Finally, of course, write the information about your children's birthday party in the invitation. And bang, now the cute invitation cards can be handed out to the valued guests, who will surely make them happy! We hope you had and have a lot of fun with this favorite DIY.
